CoreyBlaser.com is finally online!

Hi everyone, as you may already know, I have quit the marketing and technology world and am now going to go back to school full time. I made this decision with a lot of thought and a lot of input from Jennifer. I would like to go into Art History and Conservation and either teach at the university level or work in a museum or conservatory. I have not decided the path I am going to take to get there however. I have the option to focus, during my undergrad studies, on Art History or a BFA in Studio Arts. I will also need two minors, Chemistry and German, for acceptance into one of the PhD programs I have my eye on. I have a good nine or ten years of school ahead of me, but I really enjoying what I am doing.

In addition to school, I will be sculpting full time. I have set up an outdoor studio in our townhome’s back yard, it is definitely not rain-proof, so work stops during inclimate weather. I am hoping to find a more permanent space within my budget that fills my needs before winter (so, if you know of any small warehouses, please let me know.)

I am planning a show in December 2010 at the Covey Center for the Arts here in Provo and am hoping to have 6 or so pieces to display. And if you want to purchase a piece before then, please keep in mind that I may request its presence at the show.
